For grown-ups

What this site is

12 Dreamers is a free static shelf of learning links and a daily Bible verse for children in hard situations, including orphans, children in foster care, and any child who needs a kind place to learn. It is written to any child: you are loved.

There is no build step, no account, and no app to install for the site itself. It is plain HTML, CSS, and a little JavaScript.

What it collects

This website collects nothing. It does not set cookies. It does not use ads, analytics, or tracking pixels. It does not load third-party scripts, fonts, or images. It does not send a child’s activity to a server, because there is no server-side app.

If a child taps “I did it!” or chooses an age, that note is saved only in this browser’s localStorage, on this device. Clearing the browser’s site data removes it. Nobody else can see those stars.

About the verses

The daily verse is chosen in the browser from a list stored on this site, using the device’s date, so it changes once a day without an account or a server. The words are from the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain. A title line such as “A Psalm of David” is left off when it would get in the way. LORD is a name for God. The short note under the verse is a devotional written for a child, not a translation.
